I’m currently a Professor at the Johns Hopkins Carey Business School.

I received a PhD in management from Northwestern University. Prior to Northwestern, I worked as a consultant at Deloitte.

My research focuses on simple ways that people can avoid professional mistakes involving ineffective negotiation, unethical behavior, and insufficient sleep. At the moment, I’m especially interested in how people negotiate with family, friends, and work colleagues.
